ADULT MHFA

 

MHFA is a skills-based training that teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the tools you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. Now includes updated information to address the rise of overdoses stemming from the opioid crisis.

In any given year, millions of Americans experience a mental health condition. Less than 50% of them get the help they need. You can make a difference!

YOUTH MHFA

 

This world-wide, evidence-based course teaches parents and adults who work with youth how to identify, understand and respond to signs of developing mental illness and substance use in youth. This training provides the necessary skills to reach out, provide initial support, and help connect youth to appropriate care and/or resources. It reviews the unique risk factors and warning signs common with youth, and emphasizes the importance of early intervention.

Lifetime prevalence is 1 out of 2 for developing a mental illness or addiction. 50% of all mental illnesses begin by age 14 and 75% by age 24. Prevention and early intervention is key!

TRAINING OPTIONS


Virtual:
Participants will complete a 2-hour self-paced online class, and then participate in a 6-hour, instructor-led group on Zoom

Blended: Participants will complete a 2-hour self-paced online class, and then participate in a 6-hour, in-person instructor-led class

In-person: Participants will receive their training as an 8-hour, instructor-led class

All instructor-led portions can be provided in a one or two day format

Training Rate: $199 per participant
